Pakistanis support for Kashmir cause unwavering
 2010-02-08:

LAHORE, Feb. 8: The people of Pakistan are unwavering supporters of the Kashmir freedom movement and all those struggling for this noble cause, Jamaat e Islami Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch said here Monday. Time and tide have proved that the U-turn taken by a military dictator on Kashmir issue was wrong which harmed the Kashmiris freedom movement and benefited India, he said while talking to a group of students from Azad Kashmir and Baltistan here. India, he said, had started another major offensive against Pakistan on water front. After completing the Baghliar dam across the Chenab river, India had started work on Swal Kot dam near Odhampur under the supervision of its occupation troops. This would completely stop Chenab water from flowing into Pakistan and render our lands completely barren, he said. Therefore, he said, ending India’s unlawful hold on Kashmir was inevitable for the regional peace and liberation of the 15 million Kashmiris, he said. Expressing shock over the cancellation of Pakistan day parade, the JI leader stressed upon Prime Minister Gilani and the two houses of the parliament to direct the armed forces for organizing a befitting military parade on March 23 as this was a matter of national prestige. The military parade, he said, was a message to the world of our military preparedness. Therefore, the message from our side should be that we are fully prepared to liberate Kashmir- our jugular vein- from India’s hold, he added.
