     Philosophy of Jamaat-e-Islami

The Raisin d’être Of Jamaat-e-Islami

The very raisin d’être of the creation of Jamaat-e-Islami is to change to all of human life ranging from thought and outlook, faith, religion, morality, personality and character, education and training, civilization and culture, civics and society, economic and politics, law, war and peace and extending to international relations, in the light of guidance handed down to human beings, from first to the last of the Prophets Muhammad (PBUH).

All our struggle has been aimed that the realization of this end. We have never wished anything else, nor ever we shall.

And in whatever otherwise we have taken interest has been to extent of its utility for our goal. What resize we want to enforce in the Quranic terminology “ the true faith that is to say, the system of life insures obedience of Allah in the light of prophetic wisdom, sometimes we have used a phrase “ divine Government” others , our detractors whatever they mistake it for, we mean by it to surrender to almighty Allah as real supergene both individual and collective life. Therefore, this phrase is synonymous to Islam itself, That is why we use to three terms, namely true faith, divine Government and Islam in an interchangeable sense. And we have given three names to the struggle of realizing goals of ours as “Aqamat-e-Deen”, “Islamization of life”, “Shahadat-e- Haq”, Assertion of truth” and Tahreek-e-Islami(Islamic Movement).

The first two terms have been adopted from the Quran and third for its being easy to understand. If someone has frowned upon these terms, he has done it, by way of mistake or willfully. Had they tried to understand our context they would not have been so annoyed. Our Dawa(Program) is for all, we beleave that Islami is not something inheritary on the contrary its blessing for whole mankind no matter, which part of the globe they inhabit. So we do not stand for the total change in the life of Muslims, but we are cometed to extended to all human beings the vast scope of your program( Dawa) calls for, that you appeal remains for all, and does not stress interest of a certain nation detrimental to general cause of Islam, or may hamper its extension, we address the Muslims not for the reason that we are born amongst them nor for, they are our nation, but for the simple reason they believe in Islam and as such are considered its ambassadors so we have decided to make them vehicle for the extension of our program for the mankind. In fact preaching of Islam can not be effective unless the born Muslims do not make themselves an embodiment of Islam. There for we have nothing to do those people who are interested in the cause of Muslims from mearly Nationalistic angle, or due to their oneness of Nationality and religion with the Muslims and not for the sake of Islam.
