What JI can do in the education sector and how?

Postby DrIhsan » Sun Jan 17, 2010 12:30 am

Here are few of my ideas on this topic;
I think JI is already doing few activities in this sector. I have no exact information (if someone ahs please share with us or with whom we can contact to get information), but there are many schools I guess being run by JI. That is a very good effort, but I think it is not that much effective as we want it to be.

On the other if we had established a highly qualified technical college (not simple college), a medical college or sort of university it would have served us a lot. At the same time that particular institute would have bcome a role model for many many others in the education sector. So why people did not think on that?? And if they think on that and decided that education is goverment job not ours, then there was no need of many schools we are running right now.When I was in Lahore, there were few new computer colleges, i heard, opened by JI people. Those are of no use for us I think, as we need JI controlled institutes, which can become education and islamic role models.

I think there is no policy guidelines on this issue and there is no Education think tank of JI. And if there is any, what is its quality and what is its activities? who is leading that think tank? what is its future vision?Why we an dpublic don't know? [giving statements or arranging a seminar about Agha khan eductaion is enough??? ]
Based on these thoughts and many others I suggest;
1. To establish a highly qualified JI Education Think Tank
->Its head and members must be highly educated, qualified and experts in their fields (medical, engineering, basic education etc.) . I think it is not difficult to find such people.
2. This think tank must analyze whole situation of last many many years and based on that, plan for future JI eductaion activities.
3. Such a think tank should be open to others and listen education experts of pakistan in making JI's education policy (they must hold public seminars, conferences about education trends and requirements etc.).
4. This forum not only plan for JI education activities, rather than JI education policiy for Paksitan (with macro and micro details, from school level to univ. levels). So we can tell Pakistanies, if we come to power, this is our education policy [and we can prove and show that with our established role models in the form of some medical college and technical colleges].
5. This forum must publish their annual reports in media about JI's educational network achievements and annual education policy for Pakistan.
6. I think to start with, a Technical college and a girls medical college is the best option, which must accomplish international standards in education quality and Islamic role mdoel for others.

7. There in Mansoora or somewhere else, must be a JI education Think Tank office.

And I beleive it is not difficult for JI to collect manpower as well as resources, just need a planning and dedication. This is what in my opinion, an innovative way of thinking. No other political/religious party can think this way, only those people who have any ideology can do this. Since we are a relegio-political organization, we must think aggressively and innovatively on issues, which really bother.
