shoora hails peace treaty in Sudan
LAHORE, Jan 11:
The Jamaat-e-Islami Shoora welcomes the ceasefire agreement
between Sudanese government and Southern factions and prays for
its success. It says the war imposed on Sudan has been eating
away major share of its resources and taking thousands of lives,
while the government bore the losses only to sustain its Islamic
identity. Now after the agreement it is hoped that it will end
bloodshed in Sudan and whole nation will unitedly combat the
dangers and rebuild the country. Shoora appeals to the newcomers
in the government to be aware of the foreign enemies and abide
by the agreement with complete sincerity because enemies are
looking for fueling the fire of misunderstandings and turn them
into a bigger crisis with their money and temptations.Shoora
appeal to the Sudanese government to continue the process of
reconciliation and extend hand of friendship towards all
political elements including Dr Hasan Turabi so that
bitternesses could be resolved and country could counter larger
global dangers which are being imposed on it in shape of
massacre in Darfur and patronizing the terrorism in the region.
