JI shoora grieved over Tsunami disaster

LAHORE, Jan 7: Jamaat-e-Islami Shoora has
expressed deep sorrow and grief over the great
loss of lives and property caused by Tsunami
disaster in the countries around Indian Ocean.
The Shoora in a resolution on Friday expressed
solidarity with the victims and resolved to take all out
measures to provide relief and alleviate their suffering.
The resolution expressed satisfaction that JI Ameer Qazi
Hussain Ahmad had already appealed and mobilized the nation
towards a relief fund for the victims besides he himself
visited the embassies of the affected countries in Islamabad
to express solidarity with the ambassadors and offer them
relief assistance on behalf of JI workers and Pakistani
nation.The Shoora also noted with satisfaction that
following these measures the JI relief missions began
arriving in the affected countries.The Shoora also appealed
to the UN and all international aid agencies to arrange a
hurricane warning system in Indian Ocean which they had
already installed in the Pacific Ocean, so that the humanity
could be saved from such disasters in future. The Shoora
expressed sorrow that the USA contributed scanty relief for
Tsunami victims despite that it had colossal budget and
other resource which were being used to destroy other
countries.The Shoora appealed to all human beings on behalf
of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan to pay attention to their
Creator so as to qualify for earning His blessings for
entire humanity.
