JI seeks solution to Kashmir, Palestine
according to UN resolutions
Lahore, Nov 8:
Jamaat-e-Islami central council has termed Palestine and Kashmir
core issues of Muslims Ummah and called for their just solution on
the basis of UN resolutions.
The JI apex policy making body has condemned the American-Zionist
conspiracy to bring down Hamas government in Palestine and
Islamabad U-turn on the principled stance of Kashmir.
Separate resolutions on Kashmir and Palestine adopted by the JI
central shoora the other day lauded the heroic struggle by the
Kashmiri people who were laying their lives for the completion of
Pakistan. The JI shoora called upon people and government of
Pakistan not to leave them alone in their indigenous struggle.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the communiqué released
after Manmohan-Musharraf talk and said the entire nation has
rejected it saying Kashmir struggle can not be termed as terrorist
movement because it is aimed at liberating the Kashmiris from the
Indian yoke. "The UN character fully supports struggle against
occupation and considers it a legitimate right of the people."
The shoora opined that Pakistan is incomplete with out Kashmir
which is an integrated whole and can not be divided by any
usurper. Glowing tributes were paid by the shoora to Syed Ali
Geelani and Syed Salah Uddin and the people of Kashmir for
rendering unparallel sacrifices to achieve their cause. They
assured fullest support from the people of Pakistan to their
Kashmiri brethren.
The meeting noted with gratitude great help of Kashmiri people
after Oct 8 earthquake by Islamic world and the West and
criticized the role of ERRA for their ineptness to use the foreign
aid for the rehabilitation of quake-hit people.
On Palestine
In a separate resolution on Palestine, the JI shoora expressed
grave concern over the economic blockage and military siege of
occupied Palestine after the January 2006 elections which brought
Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to power.
The meeting blasted US double standards vis-à-vis democracy in the
Middle East. The international boycott of Hamas government under
US pressure has proved that Washington can not allow the masses to
exercise their free will unless she is assured of getting
self-serving interests from such democracy. The JI shoora said
Israeli open threats to assassinate Hamas leadership in Palestine
and abroad speaks of the arrogance of Zionist state and observed
that silence of Muslim Ummah has emboldened the aggressor many
fold.
They lauded brave resistance offered by Palestinian women to
thwart Israeli incursion in Beit Hanon. The meeting appealed the
masses not to forget their struggling Palestinian brethren in
their struggle of liberation the first Qibla from Zionist yoke.
On Bajour Agency
Yet another
resolution about killings in Bajour Agency the JI shoora held
General Pervez Musharraf responsible for the brutal bombing on
religious school. It proved that the rulers' apathy, who according
to resolution, were so scared from America that they did not
condemn the killing of tender age students in the attack. |
