Attack on journalists condemned

Lahore, Nov 14: Secretary Information Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Shahid Shamsi has expressed concern over the increasing criminal attacks on the life and property of senior journalists in major cities like Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

In a statement on Tuesday Shahid Shamsi termed the crimes against journalist community a well thought out plan to silence the free press. Mr. Shamsi took serious note of burglary in the house of Secretary General Karachi Press Club Najib Ahmad. A linguistic group, he said, active in the streets crime in port city has now turned its guns towards media men.

He demanded immediate recovery of the looted assets by bringing the culprits in accountability net.
