Hafiz
pleased on passage of Hisba Bill in NWFP
Lahore,
Nov 14: Jamaat-e-Islami
naib ameer Hafiz Mohammad Idrees has expressed satisfaction over
the passage of Hisba Bill by the NWFP assembly. He hoped the
legislation will usher in an era of peace and transparent
accountability in the province.
Addressing
concluding session of five-day training workshop here at party
central secretariat Mansoorah on Tuesday the JI leader deplored
that rulers are amending the Hudood laws to appease their foreign
masters. The proposed legislation, he said, has nothing to do with
protection of women's rights. "The select committee bill was
rejected by government nominated Ulema committee."
Hafiz Idrees said the MMA call
for resignation on the adoption of women protection bill by the
National Assembly should not be taken mere rhetoric. It will lead
to a peaceful mass movement which will sweep the rulers out from
the corridors of power, he added. The Bush has tasted result of
follies and now it is time to teach his front line ally a lesson.
The JI leader urged the participants of workshop to remain fully
alive from the western challenges. |
