JI Black Day to greet Musharaf in Gawadar

Lahore, Nov 15: Balochistan chapter of Jamaat-e-Islami has given a Black Day call on Thursday to condemn the killings of innocent people in Bajaur and Dargai. This call coincides with President General Pervez Musharraf visit to Gawadar [the port city in Balochistan].

In a joint press statement Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Balochistan Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi and Secretary General Abdul Matin Akhunzada on Wednesday castigated Islamabad's indifferent attitude towards the plight of Baloch people and particularly of Gawadar area. The people are deprived of basic amenities like clean drinking water. Foreign fishermen are infringing upon the rights of local fishermen while uniformed rulers are busy in opening five stars hotels in the area.

The JI leaders held federal minister of ports and shipping responsible for the stuck up operations and erosion of heavy machine installed at Gawadar because he is least concerned about the development of Karachi and Gawadar ports and instead busy in playing role of land mafia by selling islands off the Karachi shores to make money.
