Piracha deplores Bush, Blair jovial on scraping Hudoud Laws Lahore, Nov 21: Jamaat-e-Islami deputy secretary general Dr. Farid Ahmad Piracha has taken strong exception to jovial statements of the US president Bush and British Premier Tony Blair after the passage of shameful amendments in the Hudoud laws. In a statement on Monday the JI leader said people can better understand the purpose of legislation which pleases contemporary colonial rulers like Bush and Blair. The so called women protection bill irked tens of thousand of Ulemas and Islam-loving people of Pakistan but General Pervez Musharraf is feeling proud by treading the dreadful path of secularism under the foreign dictates. |
