Tributes paid to late Mahmood Ali Lahore, Nov 21: "The uncaring and indifferent attitude of the government on the demise of leader of Pakistan Completion Movement and a central minister Mahmood Ali is regrettable." This was the consensus opinion of speakers at a condolence reference held under the aegis of Idara Ma’arif Islami here on Monday. The Director Idara Ma’arif Islami Hafiz Mohammad Idrees, in his address, said that the rulers can go to any extent to please their foreign masters but their apathetic attitude on the death of a patriotic and veteran politician is nothing but sheer violation of humane values. Paying glowing tributes to the national services rendered by late Mahmood Ali, Hafiz Mohammad Idrees said he was well-settled in Bangladesh but due to deep love with the country he disbanded all his property in Dhaka and relocated to Pakistan immediately after the creation of Bangladesh. |
