LAHORE, Dec 08: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the lifting of emergency without restoration of judges would be of no use.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad called on Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence and exchanged views on the current burning national issues.

After the meeting Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Nawaz Sharif briefed the reporters about the matters which came under discussion during the meeting. They said that the crucial decisions would be taken in the APDM meeting on December 09.

To a question Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that he was firm on the demand of the restoration of the judiciary to its previous position before the November 03 because if the November 03 actions were not withdrawn, then the lifting of emergency would be fruitless.

To another question about MMA Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that despite differences on the election issue, MMA would continue existing, adding that there were also differences within the MMA during the Local Governments elections but it remained intact. (#)
