NOWSHEHRA, Dec 15: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed along with four other candidates of the party withdrew their nomination papers for National and Provincial Assembly seats here on Saturday.

Besdies Qazi Hussain Ahmed, his son Asif Luqman Qazi withdrew papers from NA-5 and PF-13. Mairajuddin, Nadir Shah and Syed Shahid Hussain Shah also withdrew their nomination papers.

Earlier, Qazi Hussain Ahmed reached the Nowshehra court in a procession to withdraw his papers.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, he said that results of the upcoming elections have already been compiled. "Our struggle will continue till the restoration of democracy, judiciary and media," he pledged.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed also condemned the suicide in Nowshehra that killed seven people.
