JI donates Rs 5 million for reconstruction
of Lebanon
Lahore, April 9:
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has sent a donation of Rs 5 million to
the Jamaat-e-Islam Lebanon as relief amount for the reconstruction
and rehabilitation projects undertaken following the devastating
Israeli invasion last year.
The cheque of the relief amount was handed
over to the head of JI Lebanon Faisal el-Mowlvi by special envoy
of Qazi Hussain Ahmad and former district Nazim Karachi
Niamatullah Khan at a simple ceremony in Beirut on Monday, says a
JI spokesman.
The spokesman quoting reports from Beirut
said Faisal el-Mowlvi whole heartedly expressed gratitude for
Pakistani Muslims for their love and care for their Lebanese
brothers. The spokesman said Al Quds Institution Director General
Mohammad Akram Al-Adlooni hosted a lunch in honor of JI delegation
which was participated, besides the elite of the city by Osama
Hamadan, the representative Hamas in Lebanon.
The JI had
already sent an amount $ one hundred thousand as first installment
of relief for
Lebanon few months back, the spokesman added. |
