Foreign funded NGOs promoting alien culture,
values: Qazi
Lahore, April 20:
Mutthaida Majlis-e-Amal president and
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan ameer Qazi Husain Ahmad has criticized
the demonstrations against so called religious extremism by NGOs
run on western funds, and warned that foreign funded NGOs are
using westernized women to pave the way for clash of civilizations
in the country.
In order to
assure their allegiance to
Washington,
the NGOs and a handful of westernized people are creating rifts
among Muslims in the country which should be condemned to every
extent, he said while delivering Friday sermon at Mansoorah
mosque.
Qazi said demanding Shariah
enforcement from Pervez Musharraf will not achieve desired results
because Shariah enforcement can only be made by following
Quran and Sunnah. He said the armies of NGOs have been deployed to
overcome practicing Muslims in the country. He said under present
circumstances Muslims are required to defend their homes and
children from vulgar and obscene western civilization by
consolidating the defense of their homes. He urged upon Muslims to
strengthen the family units and purge the environment of their
homes to counter the imposition of clash of civilization by the
westernized military rulers.
He expressed sorrow that the lust of money
and plots by military rulers is talk of the whole country, as they
were usurping of common man's rights in their pursuit to become
billionaire overnight. He said now banners condemning army
generals' lust for plots are openly displayed in the federal
capital. He said the rulers claiming to be people's
representatives were leading luxurious lives at cost of people.
The
MMA
leader said the West is dividing Muslims on linguistic and racial
basis under a well thought-out conspiracy, while it is undermining
the concept of Jihad by calling it against peace and justice
besides using derogatory terms like terrorism, extremism and
Jihadi culture against it. He recalled that in the past motto of
Iman (faith), Taqwa (piety) and Jihad fee
Sabeelillah were inscribed on army barracks.
Qazi Husain Ahmad said the present rulers
were devoid of the solution to the present day political, judicial
and economic crises, and the country needed sincere and honest
leadership to achieve that aim. He urged the people to strengthen
the hands of sincere religious leadership by uniting on the
platform of MMA. |
