Arrest of MMA and other political workers slammed Lahore, June 5: The MMA president and ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain on Tuesday slammed massive arrests of the MMA workers and members of other opposition parties across Punjab. In a statement Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that the raids and arrest of political workers speaks of the nervousness of General Pervez Musharraf and his company. Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the military junta is making abortive bid to harass political leadership and at the same time they have declared war on media. In order to protect his unconstitutional and illegal rule, Qazi said, Pervez Musharraf has entered a blind alley. The MMA leadership and workers can not be harassed by raids and arrests. |
