LAHORE, Jan 09: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain
Ahmad has taken strong exception to the statement of IAEA chief
Mohammad Elberadi that Pakistan's nukes could go into the hands of
extremists, and termed it a part of the conspiracies being hatched
against the country in the wake of assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
Addressing a high level meeting of central office bearers of the
party at Mansoorah on Wednesday, Qazi said western power has
launched another onslaught against Pakistan to destabilize the
country for ulterior motives.
The meeting which was participated by Ch Rehmat Elahi, Ch Aslam
Saleemi, Liaqat Baloh, Hafiz Mohammad Idrees, Syed Munawar Hasan,
Dr, Farid Ahmad Piracha, Mian Maqsood Ahmad and Amirul Azim took
decisions to give one day extension to the JI Shoora meeting
scheduled for Jan 14-16, and mandated all district ameers of the
party to attend. The meeting will deliberate the prevalent political
situation and post election scenario to chalk out future line of
action for the party.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the west is tightening the grip on Pakistan
to capture our nukes by making negative propaganda, whereas no word
is spoken against Israel and India despite that Israeli nukes are a
constant threat for Palestinians and Arabs amidst Israeli genocide
of Palestinians and the concerns that Tel Aviv could make nuclear
strikes against Palestinians any time. On the other hand, he said,
India has been massacring Kashmiris and extremists Hindus had
threatened many times to exterminate Pakistan.
The JI ameer said US is the only irresponsible state which massacred
millions of Japanese with Nuclear bombs in cold blood. Qazi said
entire anti Pakistan onslaught regarding nuclear assets is there
only because of the military dictator Gen Musharraf who bowed down
before Washington to make it an easy prey. He said any democratic
government would never have bowed down before Washington but would
see it eye to eye and taken a courageous stance. He warned that
further continuation of Gen Musharraf in power would pose more
threats for the country and the need of the hour is to have an
independent interim government which should hold free elections
under independent election commission to rid the country of the
present crisis.
He further warned that participation in Feb 18 elections would give
strength to Musharraf regime which has already completed
preparations for massive rigging of the polls. He said the dictator
and his cohorts want to stage sham elections to provide
justification for their dictatorial actions and future fascist
regime. He reiterated that such a situation would be a deadly blow
to rule of law, supremacy of the constitution and fundamental
rights, adding that all political parties should unanimously boycott
the elections and get united on one platform to remove the illegal
and unconstitutional regime.
