LAHORE, Jan 18: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad termed Gen Musharraf responsible for all problems and crises facing the country, and appealed to the people to rise against him.

Delivering Friday sermon at Darul Uloom Rahatabad, Peshawar, Qazi Hussain Ahmad also urged upon ulema and religious leaders to play their role in cooling down the fire being set up in the name of sectarianism. He said there is no sectarian strife in the country but Muslims are being divided and made to fight against one another under a heinous conspircary.

He said all Muslims are like one body and MMA has united all of them on one platform to struggle for a collective agenda despite belonging to different schools of thought. He said Gen Musharraf accepted all dictates of Washington for his personal power and imposed its war on Pakistan just to complete its agenda. He said Gen Musharraf pushed the Pakistani nation into a war against fellow Muslims by raising the slogan "Pakistan First". He said the drama being staged to hold coming elections is also part of the same conspiracy and any party winning these elections will have no power to bring any change into the system or the existing policies. He said the next parliament is being created just to put a stamp on the orders and measures of Bush and Mush.

Qazi warned that none of the political parties could do anything after participating in the elections and will be ultimately used to support the policies of Bush and Musharraf. He said the only solution to all problems like bomb blasts, lawlessness, price hike, and scarcity of power and Atta is that Gen Musharraf should be removed from power and bring a real representative government of the people. He said it was high time people should boycott the elections and support the movement by JI and APDM for the uprooting of military dictatorship.
