LAHORE, Mar 15: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that Gen Retd Pervez Musharraf is busy creating differences between PPPP and PML-N to defect their members and provide a strong foothold for himself.

Qazi warned that if Gen Retd Pervez Musharraf remained in the President House for any longer and American policies were continued to be implemented in Pakistan, then new parliament would become ineffective and people would deem that merely faces were changed.

He was addressing a training workshop of JI members at Mansoorah and replying to queries of the participants.

Qazi said Washington has no interest in Gen Musharraf or any other particular person, but it only wants continuation of its policies in the country and a role in policy making in Islamabad. He said at present Gen Musharraf and his team has provided perfect tool for Washington to carry on its war on terror inside Pakistan.

Qazi said Jamaat-e-Islami will not contest by-elections even after departure of Gen Musharraf and restoration of judges sacked by Gen Musharraf, adding that JI will focus its attention on next general elections. He said restoration of sacked judges will make a big difference in the country as all the missing persons will be recovered and high handedness of the officials will be stopped.

He said rulers are fond of luxuries and becoming tools in the hands of America only to continue their corruption and plunder of public money.

Qazi said repeated publication of blasphemous caricatures is an attempt to destroy the center of religious love among Muslims. He said the conspiracy is aimed at making Muslims to accept it as routine and later bigger tamper in Islam to make it suitable for western expansionist policies.
