LAHORE, Mar 19: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad and including information secretary Amirul Azim have expressed shock and sorrow over the death of Ikramullah Khan Niazi, father of Pakistan Tehrik Insaf chairman Imran Khan.

In their condolence messages on Wednesday, Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Amirul Azim praised the personality and services of late Ikramullah Khan Niazi, saying he raised a son like Imran Khan possessing remarkable qualities and brought laurels for his country.

They said Ikramullah's son also gifted the nation with the first cancer research hospital which is a great support and ray of hope for the cancer patients specially the poor.

They prayed that Almighty Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
