I am one those supporters of JI who think that JI is the best AVAILABLE option of leader ship in Pakistan.  As you would know people like us face great ressistance and hostility within our circles while discussing
and supporting JI.

We do support JI in any way we can, in discussions with freinds etc.  often it is not difficult since JI stand on majority of the issues is right and well qualified but some time some statements, policies and actions of JI and the leadership puts us in a great difficulty.

I attented the rally today on the Mall, Lahore.  In your speech you made certain remarks which did not suite your stature. I am writing this because of what I have mentioned above ie JI is the only leader ship option in Pakistan. 

1. Your remark regarding the motor way is way out of line for a layman. You mentioned that motor way has been build in middle of desert and costs more to travel on it and it is a great conspiracy against the nation and it is been designed to connect India with Central Asia is just too much to handle.  All these remarks are not understandable for people like us let alone we trying to explain it to others. 

Generally it is acceptable that Motorway is a good project but was cost on it has been thrice as much had it been handle honestly.  Secondly areas alongside motor way will be alocated to amass wealth for self. 
These two points are valid and explainable  and are solid.

As you may know the real motor way project was conceived way back in Zia time and the idea was to built a free port at Gawader offering incentives to Far eastern countries to built their industries there 
thus saving millions on feul carraige from mideast to their respective countries. Further a state of the art motorway network would carved out connecting gawader to Central asain states.  This is the back ground of Motor way.

2.  Since this day was a solidarity day with Kashmir,  hitting Imran Khan   with the Zakat add featuring Diana was not appropriate either. 
Mentioning this and Delare Mehndi at this stage and by a leader of your  stature did not come out good.

These were few things that I thought I should bring into your notice and hope you will forgive me for this.

Thank you for your visit to JI home in cyberspace and direct communication through Internet. I am also thankful to your support for Jamaat-e-Islami.
Following is my submission about the two points raised in your e-mail.

The Mall speech was certainly addressed to the layman of Pakistan but there was no misstatement in it. The Motorway has not connected Gwadar or Karachi
to Central Asia; nor it is meant to provide services at Gwadar to the Far Eastern Pacific countries. Rather, it connects only Islamabad and Lahore.
While Peshawar will be connected through it after the period of two years.

Lahore-Islamabad and Peshawar are already connected by GT Road and the immediate necessity was to provide by-passes and fly-over on the exiting
network of roads. The construction of Indus Highway, connecting Karachi to Peshawar, was immediate necessity. For a country which is under serious pressure due to financial constraints, construction of Motorway was not an immediate necessity. Rather it has enhanced our economic sufferings.
Through informed sources, we have come to know that Nawaz Sharif and his trade associates had obtained proprietary rights in the proposed industrial zones on both sides of the Motorway before its construction. This is a clear financial misconduct . When Motorway between Lahore and Peshawar is completed this will provide a link to India with Central Asia through Afghanistan. Keeping in mind the eagerness of Nawaz Sharif in building trade relations with India, even if BJP comes in power; and even by ignoring the major dispute of Kashmir which has been hampering our
relationship with India and which is the major obstacle with the peaceful co-existence with India it can be construed that linking India with Central Asia is one of the future objectives of the Motorway. Considering the US policy of giving hegemony to India over other South Asian countries, including Pakistan, it is not a far-fledged idea that Nawaz Sharif is being used as a tool for advancing American objectives. Lahore can be connected to Bombay before it is connected to Karachi or Gwadar.
Mentioning of Imran Khan and questionable behavior of certain other film actresses, in the speech in question, was with reference to one of the fund-raising music concert for Imran's Cancer Hospital. The same was
condemned in the wake of Indian and Western cultural aggression, therefore, it could not termed as personal attack and out of context from the spirit of solidarity day with the Kashmiri people.

Please keep in touch and don't hesitate to communicate on any subject, under the sun, in future as well. I appreciate your point of view.  Direct exchange of views of the cross section of society has got no match to any other kind of feed back. Thank you once again.
