JI will not waste energies on others, abandoning coalition politics: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
Says JI’s grand public gathering in Lahore in Nov will prove to be a prelude to revolution
ISLAMABAD, Aug 31: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has stated that the oppression of the tyrannical forces of the world has been exposed, and their own people have risen against them. He added that floods also wreak havoc due to the conspiracies of outsiders and the deceit and vested interests of our own people. He said Jamaat-e-Islami will not waste energies on others, abandoning coalition politics.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views on Sunday while addressing the Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad members’ gathering. Islamabad Ameer Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa, General Secretary Zubair Safdar, and other leaders also addressed the gathering. A large number of men and women participated in the members’ convention.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Jamaat-e-Islami is a movement for the establishment of religion; our foremost objective is the establishment of Islam. “We consider the establishment of Islam a personal obligation (fard-e-ain). Not only in Pakistan, but we also strive for a global Islamic revolution. The global powers have double standards—creating systems of justice for their own citizens while inflicting oppression across the world. This system of oppression will not last much longer,” he remarked.
He maintained that the Jamaat-e-Islami serves the people selflessly, without any personal motives. “Floods also wreak havoc due to the conspiracies of outsiders and the deceit and vested interests of our own people. A large portion of the nation has been displaced, crops destroyed, and properties reduced to rubble. Former rulers issued illegal permits for housing societies for their personal gains, and the current rulers, by not canceling them, have proven that they too serve their own interests, not the people,” he lamented.
“These are not leaders but national criminals. The place of criminals is not the halls of power but the gallows. Jamaat-e-Islami is helping the flood-affected people in the devastated areas of Pakistan. I appeal to young men and women to become volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation,” he added.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that Jamaat-e-Islami’s grand public gathering in Lahore in November will prove to be a prelude to revolution. From this gathering, Jamaat-e-Islami will emerge with a new zeal and passion. He said that those returning to their regions after the gathering will become the voice against oppression and the rotten system, adding Jamaat-e-Islami has abandoned coalition politics and will contest elections under its own symbol. He said, “We will no longer waste our energies for the interests of others.”
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman further stated, “Since the martial law of 1958, what democratic freedoms have existed in the country? Those who, in the name of politics, imposed flatterers and the incompetent upon the nation must change their ways and open their eyes to the reality of the world—that oppression cannot last forever, and whoever refuses to learn from it is swept away like chaff in the wind.”
