Bangladesh JI chief contacts Hafiz Naeem ur Reham , offers support for flood relief
Lahore, September 1— Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman reached out to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman on Monday, expressing sorrow over the destruction caused by floods in Pakistan and extending heartfelt sympathies to the victims.
Dr. Rahman offered prayers for those who lost their lives and pledged all possible cooperation in relief efforts. He said the reports of floods and the subsequent earthquake in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir had caused him great grief, adding: “Our hearts beat with the people of Pakistan. The people of Pakistan and Bangladesh are bound together as one soul in two bodies.”
The Bangladesh Jamaat chief appreciated JI Pakistan and Al-Khidmat Foundation’s relief operations, lauding the dedication of volunteers serving the affected people. He prayed for ease in their humanitarian work and greater strength to support victims.
JI Emir briefed Dr. Rahman on the disaster situation and ongoing relief operations, thanking him for his solidarity and for offering assistance during the crisis.
