Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman Expresses Solidarity with Iran in Meeting with Envoy

Islamabad, March 4: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad to offer condolences over the reported martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other leaders following US and Israeli aggression against Iran.
During his meeting with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Ayatollah Khamenei, other Iranian leaders, and innocent civilians, including young girls. He offered prayers for the departed and for the elevation of their ranks.
The JI chief strongly condemned the attack on Iran, calling it open terrorism by the United States and Israel. He said the hearts of the Muslim Ummah, particularly the people of Pakistan, were filled with grief over the incident. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman further alleged that certain forces were attempting to divide the Pakistani nation and the Muslim world along sectarian lines to please the United States, but asserted that such efforts would fail.
He informed the ambassador that Jamaat-e-Islami had organized funeral prayers in absentia across Pakistan for Ayatollah Khamenei and had played its role in mobilizing and uniting the nation. He assured that the party would continue a vigorous campaign in the coming days against what he described as US and Israeli aggression and would strive to raise awareness and organize the public.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Emir Mian Muhammad Aslam, Deputy Secretary General Farasat Shah, Islamabad Emir Nasrullah Randhawa, Secretary Information Shakil Ahmed Turabi, and Mian Ataur Rehman.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam thanked Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman for visiting the embassy and appreciated Jamaat-e-Islami’s clear and firm stance. He said the party’s efforts were commendable and expressed confidence that it would continue to play a constructive role in the future.
The ambassador added that Iran had faced sanctions and pressure from the United States and its allies for the past 47 years and would continue its struggle against the US and Israel until the elimination of evil. He also praised the response of the Pakistani nation and the wider Muslim Ummah following the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader.
