Muslim world must unite, take decisive action against US, Israel: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
Calls to intensify the struggle for justice in Pakistan
Rs55 increase in petrol prices rejected; questions raised over policy
KARACHI: MARCH 8: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the United States, in alliance with Israel, is targeting Muslim countries and that the Muslim world must unite to take decisive action against both nations.
He expressed these views while addressing a “Death to America, Death to Israel” public rally and Iftar gathering organized by JI at Fatah Bagh, Block F, North Nazimabad in Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that more than 75,000 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza and said that Israel was carrying out heavy bombardment, including the use of phosphorus bombs.
He said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not only targeting Iran but also pursuing the idea of a “Greater Israel” stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates. He further said that the United States was openly supporting Israel in these actions.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that under the current circumstances, the Muslim world must unite and intensify efforts to establish a system of justice within their own countries while also confronting US and Israeli policies.
Talking about the domestic front, he rejected the recent Rs55 increase in petrol prices, questioning why the government had not reduced fuel prices when global rates had previously declined.
He also suggested that the Prime Minister should announce that no government official would be allowed to use a vehicle with an engine capacity larger than 1300cc as part of cost-saving measures.
Referring to Palestinian politics, he said that Hamas had won elections in 2006 through a democratic process but that the result was not accepted by the United States. He further said that the U.S. wanted the people of Iran to change their leadership and said that U.S. President Donald Trump believed that eliminating Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would lead to regime change in Iran, a plan he said had failed.
He described the United States as a global power seeking to impose its own system in opposition to divine principles, adding that some rulers were competing to join what he called the U.S.-backed “Peace Board.” He further said that U.S. political and economic influence was shaped by pro-Zionist interests but claimed that public opposition within the United States itself was now growing.
