KARACHI: JANUARY 3: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said the ruling class is afraid of Generation Z, whereas Generation Z cannot be left at the mercy of circumstances. Apart from Jamaat-e-Islami, no one is ready to take responsibility for Generation Z.

The JI supreme leader expressed these views after inaugurating the two-day My Brand Pakistan exhibition at the Expo Centre, here on Saturday.

On the occasion, President of Business Forum Karachi Chapter Sohail Aziz, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, former President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce Javed Balwani, and President of Arts Council of Pakistan Ahmed Shah also addressed the gathering and congratulated the Business Forum for successfully organizing My Brand Pakistan exhibition for the fourth consecutive year.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman and other guests toured the exhibition and reviewed various stalls. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Monem Zafar Khan, Secretary Karachi Taufiq-ud-Din Siddiqui, Secretary Information Zahid Askari and others were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Naeemur Rehman further said that the journey of My Brand Pakistan is progressing very rapidly.

He maintained that at present, the most successful and largest Generation Z program in Pakistan is Alkhidmat’s free IT courses project “Bano Qabil”, under which more than 1.2 million students have registered so far. Starting from Karachi, the project has now spread across Pakistan.

He congratulated the Business Forum on organizing the 4th magnificent exhibition featuring 280 companies and 700 brands.

Referring to Israel’s aggression and terrorism, he said a global boycott campaign against Zionist products has begun. Along with this boycott, Pakistan must promote its own products as alternatives, which will also benefit the country’s industries. He urged Pakistani industrialists to improve product quality and keep prices as low as possible.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman announced that all income generated from My Brand Pakistan will be used for Palestinian relief. So far, Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat have sent 40 relief consignments worth billions of rupees to Gaza.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman further said that the rulers are so fearful that they panic even when a single newspaper column is published. A column should be answered with a column. The system of oppression must be ended, people should be allowed to speak, and the nation should be allowed to progress. Blocking democratic forces and crushing public opinion must stop.

He said the establishment committed a grave injustice against the people of Karachi by snatching Jamaat-e-Islami’s mayoralty and installing thieves and looters over their heads. He urged learning lessons from regional developments, warning that if conditions worsen, many may not even get an airlift like Sheikh Hasina Wajed.

He stated that Karachi’s infrastructure is in ruins and no project reaches completion. The PPP-led Sindh government has set new records of corruption and incompetence, with a corruption rate reaching 71 percent. The PPP is not ready to devolve powers to the grassroots level. It was said the system would be abolished in Sindh, but instead the same system was lifted and installed in Islamabad. He emphasized that Pakistan needs a change of oppressive systems, not just faces.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman announced that after Karachi and Lahore, My Brand Pakistan exhibition will also be held in Islamabad in April, while preparations are underway in Peshawar, Faisalabad and Gujranwala. Efforts are being made to turn it into a brand for the entire Muslim world, where various Islamic countries will bring their own brands. Programs will be organized in Turkey, Dhaka, and other Muslim countries.

He said this initiative began as a result of the sacrifices of Palestinian brothers and sisters. More than 80,000 Palestinian elders, children, women,n and youth have been martyred. Despite a ceasefire, Israel has violated it hundreds of times and has martyred over 1,000 Palestinians even after the ceasefire. As a result, anger against Israel has spread worldwide. Along with Muslim countries, people of conscience across the globe have staged strong protests, leading to rapidly growing global support for Palestine.

He shared an anecdote that famous Hollywood actor Jackie Chan once asked a Palestinian child what he wanted to become when he grew up, and the child replied: “Children in Palestine do not grow up.” He said Israel’s aggression and terrorism are most strongly supported by the United States, but unfortunately, Pakistan’s rulers are busy flattering Trump for the sake of power.

Sohail Aziz said that under US patronage, Israeli atrocities and terrorism triggered a global boycott campaign against Israeli products, including in Pakistan. This campaign was widely appreciated, and people across the country unanimously agreed to use Pakistani brands as much as possible.

Saqib Fayyaz Magoon said the participation of 700 Pakistani brands in the fourth annual exhibition is a major success. This was Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman’s vision, which has now been implemented. The Federation and Chambers also supported this cause. He said many Pakistani products can become global brands, especially Pakistani spices, which can be made iconic worldwide.

Javed Balwani said that if rulers want to see Pakistan developed, they must promote imports, exports, and agriculture. He said despair is a sin and urged people to stay in the country and face challenges instead of leaving Pakistan.

He added that Muslim countries worldwide should also adopt similar initiatives like My Brand Pakistan and offered his full cooperation to Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Business Forum.

Ahmed Shah praised Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Business Forum for promoting Pakistani brands and advised those living abroad who criticize Pakistan to return, face challenges and play their role in the country’s development.
